Certaines de ces \u0153uvres portent le titre <em>Le Couvert<\/em>, ce qui signifie \u00ab le couvert \u00bb en fran\u00e7ais et fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au rituel, \u00e0 la fois courtois et quotidien, de dresser la table. <\/p>\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u0153uvre pr\u00e9sente un arrangement rigoureusement structur\u00e9, remplissant l&rsquo;image, dont les \u00e9l\u00e9ments se condensent en une forme globale pyramidale. De nombreux diagonales partent des coins inf\u00e9rieurs de l&rsquo;image vers le centre sup\u00e9rieur, cr\u00e9ant une structure constructive claire. Cette <strong>structure lin\u00e9aire<\/strong> est caract\u00e9ristique de la position d&rsquo;Evard entre le <strong>cubisme tardif<\/strong>, le <strong>constructivisme<\/strong> et l&rsquo;<strong>art<\/strong> <strong>concret<\/strong> qui s&rsquo;est \u00e9tabli dans les <strong>ann\u00e9es 1920<\/strong> et <strong>1930<\/strong>. Alors que beaucoup de ses contemporains aspiraient \u00e0 une rupture totale avec l&rsquo;objet, Evard conserve ici une subtile figuration et la combine avec l&rsquo;ordre strict des formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Le bord inf\u00e9rieur de l&rsquo;image, o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on peut deviner la table, est trait\u00e9 dans des tons sobres de brun et de gris, formant une base tranquille pour la nature morte aux couleurs vives. La bouteille, le verre et la serviette apparaissent dans des tons intenses \u2013 bleu outremer, rouge, brun, noir, vert et orange \u2013 et se d\u00e9tachent nettement de l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re-plan. Celui-ci est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 dans la moiti\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure de l&rsquo;image par des nuances claires de jaune et d&rsquo;orange, ce qui met optiquement la construction au premier plan et cr\u00e9e une claire stratification spatiale.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>149.
