The background features a mountainous landscape composed of gentle hills. The riverbanks in the foreground are covered with fir forests, which transform into fields in the background. A few houses are suggested in the distance. This landscape is completed by a pink and yellow sky, where the paint application is impasto. Even for this charming and harmonious landscape depiction, the painter uses his favorite colors: yellow, pink, and green.
