The work “Spring Meadow” has an ornamental character and refers to Art Nouveau. The style is characteristic of Evard’s early works. Apart from the flower meadow, which was painted in the pointillist style and occupies the largest area in the picture, the symbol for the supreme Egyptian god Re is located in the middle of the upper end of the picture. It is a celestial disk, represented as a winged, golden sphere, protruding from a symmetrical cloud formation. <\/p>\n\n

Andr\u00e9 Evard’s orientation towards the style of Pointillism indicates his later artistic development towards Constructivism, as Pointillism played an essential role with regard to the principles of abstract and constructive art of the 20th century.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
